Just in time for Hallowe'en, a new story of mine,
The Fiend in the Clouds, a slice of Victoriana noir, finds its way onto the
Run Riot site, where I will be guest editor in a week or so. It's quite a carnivorous with not a veggie in sight. There are salmon, quails' eggs and spiced ham though. Tasty. If it's historically accurate enough to please Faye Booth, I'll be a happy bunny.
The above picture is by William Blake, who is in the background of the story. I hadn't seen this particular etching before, but it's a surprisingly good fit.
Run Riot will also be publishing Annabelle's Birthday, another seasonal tale of mine; this one about strange happenings in Brockham on Bonfire Night.
